State Senator Eldridge and ResTech are "Building Bridges to Growth"

HUDSON, MA – ResTech Plastic Molding, a leader in plastic molding design, engineering and manufacturing, was host to State Senator Jamie Eldridge at their manufacturing facility recently for a tour and discussion of the state government’s “Building Bridges to Growth” program to enhance competitiveness for Massachusetts manufacturing.

“We’re very impressed with the Commonwealth’s initiatives to focus on the manufacturing industry,” said ResTech Plastic Molding President George E. Danis. “The ‘Building Bridges to Growth’ program is an acknowledgement from our political leaders of the significant role that local manufacturing can play to support cutting-edge breakthroughs throughout the medical, educational, and high-tech fields that are abundant in Massachusetts.”

“Skilled manufacturing is still a thriving industry in Massachusetts thanks to companies like ResTech,” added State Senator Jamie Eldridge. “To keep it that way, we need to increase our investments in workforce development to support these companies with their employment needs. Promoting education, workforce development, and building our infrastructure are the best things we can do to grow our economy over the long run, and I’m committed to making sure these are the economic development priorities of our Commonwealth.”

Building Bridges to Growth: A Roadmap for Advanced Manufacturing in Massachusetts program was established in November 2011 and is designed to enhance competitiveness for Massachusetts manufacturing to lead the national effort to revitalize the United States as a place where products are made. There are five top priorities: promote manufacturing; workforce and education; technical assistance and innovation; the cost of doing business; and, access to capital.

ResTech Plastic Molding invited State Senator Eldridge to visit the facility to demonstrate how far along they are with the initiatives. The company has invested a significant amount of money in upgrades to be highly-competitive in the industrial, electronics, and defense facets of the market. The newly added ISO Class 7 Cleanroom is a big attraction to the medical industry.

“Our state-of-the-art facility is ideal to support the innovative industries throughout the state.” said Danis. “By positioning ourselves to do so, we’ll be able to accomplish our ultimate goal – to hire more employees.”

ResTech Plastic Molding was formed in 2010 when Hudson-based Plastic Molding Mfg., Inc. acquired Res-Tech Corporation. The company had 80 employees at the time and currently employs a workforce of more than 125 people with various skill and professional levels.
