OVERMOLDING
Similar to Insert Molding, the overmolding process involves thermoplastic resin being molded over or around another material to form one solid component. Overmolding optimizes the production process of components with complex designs, overloaded assemblies, detailed cosmetic aspects, and improves bonding between the two resins.

The surgical stapling device to the left involves overmold, which provides an improved
ergonomic comfort and feel to the user.
Soft, non-slip grips make products
comfortable and easier to handle, while
maintaining durability and functionality.
At PMM we can overmold multiple colors
and resin to achieve comfort and function.
