1. Preparation

Prior to transferring, Plastic Molding Manufacturing advises customers to build a sufficient inventory buffer to maintain supply during the transition period. 2. Document Assets and Specifications
Upon receiving the mold, we perform a thorough inspection, functional assessment, and cleaning. Any concerns affecting performance are documented, and repairs or improvements are recommended to restore or enhance tooling precision and reliability.
A thorough documentation process is the foundation of a successful tool transfer. Plastic Molding Manufacturing works closely with you, and you current supplier, to capture all relevant tool data and production parameters, including:

·      External mold dimensions, stack height, and shot size
·      Required tonnage and press compatibility

We also collect and inventory all customer-specific property and related equipment, including:
·      Molds, inserts, screws, and other tooling components
·      Auxiliary equipment (EOAT, hot runner controllers, etc.)
·      Unique raw materials, gauges, or fixtures

·      Each asset is identified, tagged, photographed, and recorded by part number for full traceability and accountability.
3. Inspect, Plan, and Prepare for Production
